Berry Creek Falls is located in the Big Basin Redwoods near Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz mountains. This is a 10.2 mile heavily trafficked loop. It is rated hard with an elevation gain of 2,339 ft. There is a $10 charge for parking. Make sure to park in the parking lot right after the ranger booth. I made the mistake of going all the way down to the right and starting in the wrong area which added an extra 3 miles to this already long hike. This hike is definitely very strenuous so make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks. This one for some reason was the hardest one I've done to date. There were a bunch of fallen trees at the time, so the trail had detour routes in many areas which also added to its length. Once you get to the falls though, it makes it all worth it. This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in our area! Unfortunately due to the fires in 2020 this trail is currently closed. Hopefully it will open back up in the near future.
